(3) the influence of nitrogen (N2): when the surface temperature of the silicon carbon rod reached 1400 ℃, N2 and SiC reaction, the generation of silicon nitride, so that the silicon carbon rod resistance value increased significantly.

(4) Hydrogen (H2): At 1250℃, H2 reacts with SiC to form methane (CH4), which destroys the SiC heater.

(5) the impact of ammonia (NH2): NH2 can be decomposed into N2 and H2 at high temperature, so the use of temperature should be controlled below 1250 ℃.

(6) Sulfur dioxide (SO2) impact: SO2 at 1300 ℃ and SiC reaction, so the use of temperature should be controlled at 1300 ℃ below.

(7) the impact of chlorine (Cl2): Cl2 at 600 ℃ will react with SiC, at 1200 ℃, Cl2 will be completely decomposed silicon carbon rods.

4, SiC and hydrochloric acid (HCl), sulfuric acid (H2SO4) at high temperatures do not react. Concentrated phosphoric acid (H3PO4) at 250 ℃ and SiC reaction.

Oxygen (O2), methane (CH4), carbon dioxide (CO2) and silicon dioxide (SiO2) are produced. Mixture of concentrated nitric acid (HNO3) and hydrofluoric acid (HF)

At room temperature can dissolve SiC.

5, in 1000 ℃, silicon carbon rods can be with alkaline oxides, alkali and alkaline earth metal chemical reaction, so the use of temperature should be controlled at 1000 ℃
